About Me
I am a fine art photographer with over four decades of experience working across 35mm, medium format, and large-format cameras. My photographic foundation was formed in the darkroom, where precision, patience, and an intimate understanding of light and materials shaped my visual language. While my workflow has evolved to incorporate advanced digital processes, traditional photographic principles remain central to my practice.
My fine art work is rooted in black-and-white photography, with a strong emphasis on people, lifestyle, and the quiet narrative moments found within human presence. I continue to shoot film for select fine art projects, often creating large-format negatives used as intermediates for alternative printing processes such as Platinum and Palladium. These processes allow for unmatched tonal subtlety, depth, and permanence—qualities I believe are essential to fine art printing.
In my landscape and lifestyle work, I bring a fine art sensibility to contemporary subjects, blending classical composition with modern storytelling. I prefer working on location, drawing inspiration from urban environments, natural landscapes, and authentic spaces that contribute to the emotional context of the image. I take a hands-on approach to styling and creative direction, ensuring that every element within the frame serves the overall vision.
All post-production is handled personally, allowing for complete creative control from capture through final print. Each finished piece—whether a one-of-a-kind alternative process print or a limited-edition fine art giclée—is crafted with archival standards in mind and intended to stand the test of time.
My work is created for collectors who value craftsmanship, authenticity, and images that reveal themselves slowly—rewarding close attention and lasting engagement.
